Description

Delicious homemade popcorn made with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil; heat the oil in a large saucepan with a lid over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the corn kernels and sugar. Stir to combine.
  3. Close the saucepan with the lid. When the corn kernels start to pop, it is time to start shaking your saucepan. This way, the sugar will not burn, and every corn kernel will pop. So, shake the saucepan, then set it over the stove.
  4. When you hear popping, it is time to shake the saucepan again.
  5. Once the popping sound slows down, remove the popcorn from the stove and shake it well once again in the pot.
  6. Allow the popcorn to cool down before serving. Sprinkle them with salt to balance out the flavor.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh popcorn kernels to ensure maximum popping.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar based on personal preference.
