Description

Delicious homemade peppermint patties with a chocolate coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces dark chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and vanilla until a thick dough forms.
  2. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and flatten into discs. Place on parchment-lined tray and freeze for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second microwave intervals until smooth.
  4. Dip each frozen disc in melted chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, and return to tray.
  5. Refrigerate dipped patties for at least 30 minutes until set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the discs are fully frozen before dipping in chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
