Delicious homemade peppermint patties with a chocolate coating.
Ingredients

- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 ounces dark chocolate chips or melting wafers
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and vanilla until a thick dough forms.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and flatten into discs. Place on parchment-lined tray and freeze for 20-30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second microwave intervals until smooth.
- Dip each frozen disc in melted chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, and return to tray.
- Refrigerate dipped patties for at least 30 minutes until set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- For best results, ensure the discs are fully frozen before dipping in chocolate.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
