Description

A rich and creamy cauliflower mash that is a perfect side dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head cauliflower (about 4 cups florets)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Chop the cauliflower into florets, rinse, and drain.
  2. Steam or boil in salted water until tender (8-10 minutes).
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until golden brown and fragrant.
  4. Drain the cooked cauliflower and combine in a bowl with browned butter, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mash until smooth; adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve warm, drizzling with additional brown butter if desired.
