Description
A quick and delicious beef stir-fry packed with vegetables and flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup green beans or snow peas
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp neutral oil (canola or vegetable)
- 2 tbsp water or broth
Instructions
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain and chop all vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, marinate the beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef in batches until browned, about 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil, then sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Toss in the broccoli, carrots, green beans, and bell pepper. Cook for 3–5 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the pan. Stir in the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water or broth. Stir-fry everything together until evenly coated and heated through. Let the sauce bubble for a minute to thicken.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions and a final dash of sesame oil. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Great served with steamed rice or noodles.
- Can substitute vegetables according to your preference.
