  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the oven rack in the center position.
  2. If you’re using a store-bought crust, place it in a 9-inch pie dish. If you’re making your own, roll out the dough and press it into the dish. Crimp the edges as desired.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract for added flavor.
