Description

Delicious homemade crepes that are versatile for sweet or savory fillings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (Dairy-free alternatives like coconut or almond milk work well.)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (Use Halal-certified ingredients if needed.)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional) (Adjust based on preference.)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, salt, and sugar (if using). Ensure no lumps remain for a smooth batter.
  2. Allow the batter to rest for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. On medium heat, preheat a non-stick skillet and lightly grease it with melted butter or oil.
  4. Pour around 1/4 cup of the batter into the center of your skillet, tilting to spread it thinly. Cook for about 1–2 minutes until edges lift slightly.
  5. Carefully flip the crepe using a spatula and cook for another minute on the opposite side. Remove and place on a plate.
  6. Continue this process with the remaining batter, stacking the crepes on the plate as you go.

Notes

  • For optimal results, let the batter rest to improve texture.
  • Experiment with various fillings like fruit, cream, or savory options.
