Description

Enjoy a delicious burst of flavor with these Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, featuring shrimp marinated in honey and chipotle spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the shrimp. Pat them dry and place them in a bowl. Add olive oil, honey, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the shrimp are evenly coated in that rich, glossy marinade.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. They cook quickly—just 2–3 minutes per side—so keep an eye on them. As they cook, the marinade thickens into a sticky glaze that clings to each piece.
  3. While the shrimp cooks, warm your tortillas in a dry pan or directly over a flame for a slight char.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with lime juice to create a simple, tangy sauce.
  5. Now it’s time to assemble. Place a portion of shrimp onto each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle the lime cream over the top.
  6. Serve immediately while the shrimp is warm and the tortillas are soft.
