This Sweet and Spicy Mardi Gras Mustard is the perfect condiment for your festive gatherings.

- 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika (can use regular paprika)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (adjust based on heat preference)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder (fresh onion is also an option)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (use sea salt or kosher for best results)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice (lime juice can be a substitute)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional for umami twist)
- 1 tablespoon Hot sauce (optional; choose based on desired spice level)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the Dijon, yellow, and whole grain mustard until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
- Stir in the honey and brown sugar until completely dissolved.
- Add the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk everything together thoroughly.
- Mix in the apple cider vinegar and fresh lemon juice.
- Slowly add Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce according to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Give your Sweet and Spicy Mardi Gras Mustard a good stir, and serve!
